We have been BUSY! This is a bit off-subject, but not really...I'm working on some new ideas with the girls' homeschooling lessons.
I have decided to inject a bit of "culture" into their lessons. This week, I'm working on Asian themes. We have already made Japanese and Chinese paper lanterns, which I downloaded from www.crayola.com and then, of course, learned the history and uses of the lanterns, and other ways they can be made. Now I am scouring the internet for asian recipes (that are kid-friendly, and budget-friendly), more asian-styled crafting projects, and other asian-themed lessons. We're going to learn how to count to 10, and write our names...any other ideas? Next week, I'm thinking we'll "go" to Mexico, or maybe France...? The best part of all this is, we ALL get to learn about other countries and cultures, and find some new
