Wow! It is that time of year! Jack Frost was nipping at our noses just this morning...Luckily, we have a way to stop him in his tracks~Nose Warmers!
These super fun animal noses whip up FAST, and we have two different versions here for you~Simple color changes, and you can create an entire zoo! ​Follow me for BOTH free patterns~ |
Round Warmer:
Rnd 1: With Color A (Nose color), ch 2. Work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join. (6 sts) Fasten off Color A, join Color B.
Rnd 2: ch 1. Work 2 sc in each st around. Join. (12 sts)
Rnd 3: ch 1. *Sc in next st. Work 2 sc in next st*. Repeat (*) around. Join. (18 sts)
Rnd 4: ch 1. *Sc in each of the next 2 sts. Work 2 sc in next st*. Repeat (*) around. Join. (24 sts)
Rnds 5-6: ch 1. Sc in each st around. Join. (24 sts)
Loops: ch 40 (45). Sl st in each of the next 12 sts on nose. Ch 40 (45). Sl st in each of the remaining 12 sts. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Pointed Nose:
Rnd 1: With Color A (Nose color), ch 2. Work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join. (6 sts)
Rnd 2: ch 1. Sc in each st around. Join. (6 sts) Fasten off Color A, join Color B.
Rnd 3: ch 1. *Sc in each of the next 2 sts. Work 2 sc in next st*. Repeat(*) around. Join. (8 sts)
Rnd 4: ch 1. *Sc in next st. Work 2 sc in next st*. Repeat (*) around. Join. (12 sts)
Rnd 5: ch 1. Work 2 sc in each st around. Join. (24 sts)
Rnds 6-8: ch 1. Sc in each st around. Join. (24 sts)
Loops: ch 40 (45). Sl st in each of the next 12 sts on nose. Ch 40 (45). Sl st in each of the remaining 12 sts. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Suggested color changes/options:
Alternate Black and White to stripe a zebra look, or Black and Orange to stripe a tiger.
Use Pink to start the round nose, and finish in White for a sweet bunny.
Use Pink or Black to start a pointed nose, and finish in Gray for a mouse.
Use Fun Fur on the body of either nose for a soft, fuzzy look!
