Round Orange Droid Free Crochet Pattern
Here are the instructions to make your own cute little Round Orange Droid! Materials Used:
Worsted weight yarn~Off-White, Gray, Black, Persimmon Size G/6 (4.25mm) crochet hook One 10mm safety eye and one 6mm safety eye Small amount of stuffing Yarn needle Size/Gauge: Gauge is not important to this project. Finished model measures 4” tall x 3.5” wide. Stitches Used/Abbreviations: Ch-chain Rnd-round Sc-single crochet Sc2tog-single crochet two stitches together Bpsc-back post single crochet~work single crochet stitches around the back of the post of indicated stitch(es) LSC-long single crochet (Spike Stitch) work single crochet stitch by inserting hook into indicated stitch, one row below current work Sl st-slip stitch Entire pattern is worked in rnds, with joins. You can fasten off yarn at each color change, or simply carry to the next area it is needed. I carried my yarn inside my work. |
Instructions:
Head: (Stuff as you go.)
Rnd 1: With Off-White, ch 2. Work 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join. (8 sts) Drop Off-White. Join Black.
Rnd 2: Ch 1. Work 2 sc in each st around. Join. (16 sts) Drop Black. Pick up Off-White.
Rnd 3: ch 1. *Sc in next st. Work 2 sc in next st*. Repeat (*) around. Join. (24 sts)
Rnds 4-6: ch 1. Sc in each st around. Join. (24 sts) Drop Off-White. Pick up Black.
Rnd 7: ch 1. Sc in each st around. Join. (24 sts) Fasten off Black. Pick up Off-White. **Place safety eyes now~10mm eye should be at approximately rnd 4-5. 6mm eye should be at approximately rnd 5-6, with 2-3 sts between them.
Rnd 8: ch 1. Bpsc in each st around. Join. (24 sts)
Rnd 9: ch 1. Sc2tog, 12 times. Join. (12 sts)
Rnd 10: ch 1. Sc2tog, 6 times. Join. (6 sts) Fasten off. Weave the tail through the opening to close.

Assembly/Details:
Using a yarn needle and Persimmon yarn, stitch a straight line around top of head between rnds 3-4. Begin at one side of eye, and end st opposite side. Stitch a dotted line around bottom of head between rnds 6-7.
Using a yarn needle and the tails of the patches, sew patches to body, evenly spaced around.
Using a yarn needle and Off-White yarn, sew head securely to top of body.
