I read this on Furls Crochet website, and it is just SO true!
"Crochet is an art. You are an artist. Why not use a crochet hook that reflects that? Each Furls hook is delicately crafted by an American craftsman to the most exacting design standards, yielding a precious crochet hook masterpiece. Treat yourself to an heirloom artwork; life is too short to use an ugly hook!"
I happen to now OWN my very own Furls hook~2, in fact~and I can definitely say YOU should, too!

It was so exciting to customize my very own hook....and with 7 different gorgeous woods to choose from, that decision did NOT come easy! I went back and forth between the Cocobolo, the Tulipwood, and the Blackwood! They also offer Rosewood, Purpleheart, Olivewood (which I already have!) and Bloodwood. I ultimately settled on the Blackwood, and OMG! is it GORGEOUS! I am telling you~if you didn't know this hook was made of wood, you WOULDN'T know it was wood...this hook is as smooth as glass!
One of the things I really love about my Furls hooks is the way they feel in my hand. They are so comfortable to work with, I feel like I could keep crocheting for hours!
At first, I thought the shape of the hook handle would be uncomfortable or distracting, since I had only ever used the smooth aluminum hooks, but I couldn't have been more wrong. The shape of the handle makes it much easier to hold the hook, it doesn't slip or shift around on me, and I can actually ease my grip while working. It's fantastic!
