I love, love LOVE this bow! I cannot tie a pretty bow to save my life! Crochet skills to the rescue!
I happened to use Red Heart Yarns new Tweed Twist yarn for this bow...isn't it gorgeous?? I love the colors, and the yarn is so easy to work with! It feels nice, too :) I can see this brightly colored yarn being used in a LOT of future projects! Thank you Red Heart for yet another new favorite yarn for me! Crochet Pattern
Materials Used:
Worsted weight yarn (Model created in Red Heart Tweed Twist)
Size G/6 (4.25mm) crochet hook
Yarn needle
Size/Gauge:
Gauge is not important to this project. Finished model measures 6" across, and 3" tall on ends.
Stitches Used/Abbreviations:
Ch-chain
Rnd-round
Sc-single crochet
Hdc-half double crochet
Dc-double crcohet
Sl st-slip stitch
Row 1: ch 40. Being careful not to twist ch, join to 1st ch to form a ring. Ch 1. Sc in each of the next 2 chs. Hdc in each of the next 5 chs. Dc in each of the next 6 chs. Hdc in each of the next 5 chs. Sc in each of the next 4 chs. Hdc in each of the next 5 chs. Dc in each of the next 6 chs. Hdc in each of the next 5 chs. Sc in each of the last 2 chs. Join. (40 sts)
Row 2: Ch 1. Sc in each of the next 2 sts. Hdc in each of the next 5 sts. Dc in each of the next 6 sts. Hdc in each of the next 5 sts. Sc in each of the next 4 sts. Hdc in each of the next 5 sts. Dc in each of the next 6 sts. Hdc in each of the next 5 sts. Sc in each of the last 2 sts. Join. (40 sts)
Rows 3-5: Repeat row 2. Fasten off after row 5.
Using a long strip of yarn, wrap around center sts of bow several times. Tie in back.
