This stuff works wonders! In my house, we refer to it as "Cure-All", because we use it for almost everything, from bug bites, to bumps and bruises, mystery rashes, and ear aches!

We have recently been plagued with the most horrible of all plagues for me~snakes! Really~as far as I'm concerned, the only good snake is a dead snake...I have an absolutely paralyzing fear of them!
I understand that not everyone feels this way~some people actually LIKE these creatures *shudder*! But, I am not one of them, and I just want them GONE! So, I started doing a little research on ways to keep them away from my house, and I found a solution that has actually worked so far.

Walnut Shell Buttons

Who doesn't LOVE buttons? They are so fun, and useful, and can really give just the right touch to nearly any project, whether it's crochet, knit, sewn, or any other crafting medium you like.
My special favorites are the hand made wooden buttons. So simple, and yet, still so beautiful! These hand cut Walnut shells are particularly special, as my husband and I work on them together <3

Completely off the crochet topic! I decided to have some fun, and try some new things.
We are getting more focused on DIY projects, and some light homesteading around here. A lot of our projects tend to get messy, and dry out our skin, so I was searching for a way to remedy that...Homemade sugar scrub to the rescue!

This scrub is ridiculously simple to make, with everything found in your own kitchen, and it takes MINUTES!
The result is a yummy smelling, wonderful exfoliant, that leaves your skin buttery soft. Follow me for the recipe I came up with~
