The kids and I have been playing in the kitchen! One of our favorite things to bake is cookies, but sometimes we don't have a lot of time to make a big, traditional batch....This recipe is just as yummy, but takes a lot fewer ingredients, and a lot less time! And~you can totally customize your cookies, using any flavor cake mix you like, as well as any flavor chips or baking bits ;) Follow me for the recipe~ |
1 box any flavor cake mix (JUST the mix~don't follow the box directions!) We used Funfetti Cake Mix for this batch
2 eggs
1/3 cup melted butter
2 cups chips or baking bits~we used 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips, and 1 cup peanut butter chips in this batch
Utensils~
Mixing bowl
Fork
9" square cake pan
Optional~Cooking spray for the bottom of the pan
Dump the contents of the cake mix box into your mixing bowl. Add eggs and melted butter. Stir with fork until ingredients are all moistened.
Add your baking bits or chips, and stir in until well mixed.
Dump contents of bowl into prepared cake pan. Use your fingertips to pat dough into one even layer.
Bake at 350 degrees, for 20-25 minutes. Let cookie bars cool in pan, before cutting them into squares!
