In honor of 3.14, or "Pi Day", I made this super cute little Booberry Pie for my daughters to use with their popular fashion dolls! I'm already getting orders for other flavors, so they can have one for each doll~lol...That order could take a LONG time to fill...They have about 30 of them! But, these pies take just scraps of yarn, and very little time to create, and they are lots of fun, too! Booberry Pie
Crochet Pattern Materials Used: Light worsted weight yarn Size G (4.25mm) crochet hook Small amount of stuffing Optional~2 6mm safety eyes Yarn needle Stitches Used/Abbreviations: ch-chain rnd-round sc-single crochet bpsc-back post single crochet hdc-half double crochet BLO-work in back loops only of indicated stitch(es) FLO-work in front loops only of indicated stitch(es) sl st-slip stitch |
Crust:
Rnd 1: With Tan, ch 2. Work 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join. (8 sts)
Rnd 2: ch 1. Work 2 sc in each st around. Join. (16 sts)
Rnd 3: ch 1. *Sc in next st. Work 2 sc in next st*. Repeat (*) around. Join. (24 sts)
Rnd 4: ch 1. Bpsc in each st around. Join. (24 sts)
Rnd 5: ch 1. *Sc in each of the next 2 sts. Work 2 sc in next st*. Repeat (*) around. Join. (32 sts)
Rnd 6: ch 1, TURN. Working in BLO for this entire rnd, *Work 3 hdc in next st. Skip 1 st. Sl st in next st. Skip 1 st*. Repeat (*) around. Join. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Pie Filling:
Rnd 1: With Pie color, ch 2. Work 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join. (8 sts)
Rnd 2: ch 1. Work 2 sc in each st around. Join. (16 sts)
Rnd 3: ch 1. *Sc in next st. Work 2 sc in next st*. Repeat (*) around. Join. (24 sts)
Rnd 4: *Sc in each of the next 2 sts. Work 2 sc in next st*. Repeat (*) around. Join. (32 sts) Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Skull Whip Topping:
With Cream, create a Magic Circle. Ch 1. Work 3 sc in ring. Ch 1. Work 2 hdc in ring. Ch 1. Work 6 sc in ring. Join. Pull ring tight to close. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Place 2 safety eyes above hdc sts, or stitch black eyes on with yarn needle and Black yarn.
Bow:
With Pink, ch 2. Hdc in 2nd ch from hook. Ch 1. Sl st in same st as hdc is worked. Ch 1. Hdc in same st. Ch 1. Sl st in same st. Fasten off, leaving a tail. Wrap tail around center, and tie tightly to create bow.
Assembly:
Using yarn needle, stitch Skull to top of Pie Filling. Tie bow in place. Pull all tails to back side of filling.
Place a small amount of stuffing into crust, and place filling on top of stuffing. Stitch filling to pie, using tail of filling, and unused FLO from rnd 6 of crust.
