Crochet Pattern
Materials Used:
Small amounts of worsted weight yarn, in your choice of colors
Size G/6 (4.25mm) crochet hook
Gauge is not important to this project, so you can change hook sizes and yarn weights as you like.
Stitches Used/Abbreviations:
Ch-chain
Sc-single crochet
Hdc-half double crochet
Dc-double crochet
Sl st-slip stitch
Instructions:
Body: *Ch 2. Work 8 hdc in 2nd ch from hook. Join with sl st to 1st hdc*. Repeat 5 more times. (If you need/want a longer body, just make more repeats here!)
Head: Ch 2. Work 10 dc in 2nd ch from hook. Join. Fasten off.
Feet: Join a contrast color yarn in a bottom side st of 1st (last) circle. *Ch 3. Sc in 2nd ch from hook. Sl st in next ch. Sl st in next st of circle. Ch 3. Sc in 2nd ch from hook. Sl st in next ch. Sl st in st in next circle*. Repeat (*) until you reach last circle. Work 2 feet in last circle. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Antenna: ch 15 tightly, and tie to center top of head.
Eye: (Optional) Make a stitch in desired position on head. I worked my stitch 3 times, for a thicker eye.
