I recently received a package of yarns from Red Heart, to review, and try out for new designs...I was understandably excited when I opened the package~Who wouldn't be? Well, tucked in with all these yummy yarns was this flat package of fabric...What on EARTH is this for?? It feels nice~light and airy...kind of a sheer, gauzy fabric, with little oval shaped holes along the top edge, and a scalloped edge on the bottom. Well~I was at a loss at that moment, so I set it aside, and went back to drooling over the yarn.
Once again, my darling daughters provided me with a solution. They are constantly complaining about having to carry their water/juice bottles around, their beverage of choice being those wide Powerade bottles. Soooo...I decided to make them each an oversized beverage sling, and use the Sassy Fabric in them! The first one turned out AWESOME, and I am looking forward to finishing up the second, before we hit the State Park again, for a little nature hike. There is enough of this fabric in one bundle, to make several of these!
Want to make your own? Well~here is what you'll need:
