Hanging Pouches
Crochet Pattern Materials Used: Any weight yarn Size H(5.00mm), K(6.50mm), or N(9.00mm) crochet hook Size/Gauge: Gauge is not important to this project. Finished sizes will depend on yarn/hook used. For regular worsted weight (4 weight), I suggest an H hook. For double strand worsted, or 5 weight yarn, I suggest a K hook. For 6 weight Super Bulky yarn, I suggest an N hook. Stitches Used/Abbreviations: Ch-chain Rnd-round Sc-single crochet Sc2tog-single crochet two stitches together Hdc-half double crochet Sl st-slip stitch |
Small Pouch:
Rnd 1: ch 2. Work 8 hdc in 2nd ch from hook. Join. (8 sts)
Rnd 2: ch 1. Work 2 sc in each st around. Join. (16 sts)
Rnd 3: ch 1. *Sc in next st. Work 2 sc in next st*. Repeat (*) around. Join. (24 sts)
Rnd 4: ch 1. *Sc in each of the next 2 sts. Work 2 sc in next st*. Repeat (*) around. Join. (32 sts)
Rnd 5: ch 1. Sc in each st around. Join. (32 sts)
Rnds 6-7: ch 1. Hdc in each st around. Join. (32 sts)
Rnd 8: ch 1. Sc in each of the next 10 sts. Hdc in each of the next 12 sts. Sc in each of the next 10 sts. Join. (32 sts)
Rnd 9: ch 1. Sc in each of the next 10 sts. Sc2tog, 6 times. Sc in each of the last 10 sts. Join. (26 sts)
Hanging Loop: ch 10. Sl st in same st as rnd 9 joining. Ch 1. Work 10 sc in loop. Sl st in same st as rnd 9 joining. Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Wrap tail around base of loop several times, and secure in back.
Medium Pouch:
Rnd 1: ch 2. Work 10 hdc in 2nd ch from hook. Join. (10 sts)
Rnd 2: ch 1. Work 2 sc in each st around. Join. (20 sts)
Rnd 3: ch 1. *Sc in next st. Work 2 sc in next st*. Repeat (*) around. Join. (30 sts)
Rnd 4: ch 1. *Sc in each of the next 2 sts. Work 2 sc in next st*. Repeat (*) around. Join. (40 sts)
Rnd 5: ch 1. Sc in each st around. Join. (40 sts)
Rnds 6-7: ch 1. Hdc in each st around. Join. (40 sts)
Rnd 8: ch 1. Sc in each of the next 12 sts. Hdc in each of the next 16 sts. Sc in each of the next 12 sts. Join. (40 sts)
Rnd 9: ch 1. Sc in each of the next 12 sts. Sc2tog, 8 times. Sc in each of the last 12 sts. Join. (32 sts)
Hanging Loop: ch 10. Sl st in same st as rnd 9 joining. Ch 1. Work 10 sc in loop. Sl st in same st as rnd 9 joining. Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Wrap tail around base of loop several times, and secure in back.
Large Pouch:

Rnds 9-10: ch 1. Sc in each of the next 15 sts. Hdc in each of the next 20 sts. Sc in each of the next 15 sts. Join. (50 sts)
Rnd 11: ch 1. Sc in each of the next 11 sts. Sc2tog, 14 times. Sc in each of the last 11 sts. Join. (36 sts)
Hanging Loop: ch 10. Sl st in same st as rnd 11 joining. Ch 1. Work 10 sc in loop. Sl st in same st as rnd 11 joining. Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Wrap tail around base of loop several times, and secure in back.
