Who doesn't LOVE buttons? They are so fun, and useful, and can really give just the right touch to nearly any project, whether it's crochet, knit, sewn, or any other crafting medium you like. My special favorites are the hand made wooden buttons. So simple, and yet, still so beautiful! These hand cut Walnut shells are particularly special, as my husband and I work on them together <3 Would you like to see some other samples of our beautiful wooden buttons? Follow me for more~ |
We have used many different types of wood for carving our buttons. Cedar, Poplar, Oak, Sycamore, Silver Birch, Beech...every one is gorgeous! Some, we leave in their own natural shape, and some, we carve in to beautiful and whimsical shapes, like leaves, gingerbread men, stars, hearts, and more! Not only do we leave some buttons in a natural shape, we also leave ALL buttons completely natural and untreated. That way, there are no dyes or finishes to worry about bleeding in to your item! Each type of wood gives it's own distinctive charm to our buttons~ I hope you enjoyed my little peek into one of my guilty pleasures, and will keep us in mind, the next time you are searching for the perfect finishing touch for your next project!
