Lucky Pot O' Gold FREE Crochet Pattern

Tis almost St. Patty's Day! I'm making up these cute little pots o' gold for the kids, and filling them with chocolate coins :)

They work up super fast, with just a little bit of Black yarn, and a smidge of Red Heart's Mexicana yarn...

Lucky Pot O' Gold 
Crochet Pattern

Materials Used:
Small amount of Red Heart Super Saver yarn in Black and Mexicana
Size H/8 (5.00mm) crochet hook
Yarn needle

Stitches Used/Abbreviations:
ch-chain
rnd-round
sc-single crochet
sc2tog-single crochet two stitches together
hdc-half double crochet
sl st-slip stitch to join

Instructions:
Pot:
Rnd 1: With Black, ch 2. Work 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join. (8 sts)
Rnd 2: ch 1. Work 2 sc in each st around. Join. (16 sts)
Rnd 3: ch 1. *Sc in next st. Work 2 sc in next st*. Repeat (*) around. Join. (24 sts)
Rnd 4: ch 1. *Sc in each of the next 2 sts. Work 2 sc in next st*. Repeat (*) around. Join. (32 sts)
Rnds 5-6: ch 1. Sc in each st around. Join. (32 sts) Drop Black after rnd 6. Join Mexicana.
Rnds 7-8: ch 1. Sc in each st around. Join. (32 sts) Fasten off Mexicana after rnd 8. Pick up Black.
Rnd 9: ch 1. Sc in each st around. Join. (32 sts)
Rnd 10: ch 1. Sc2tog, 16 times. Join. (16 sts)
Rnd 11: ch 1. Work 2 hdc in each st around. Join. (32 sts) Fasten off. Weave in ends.

Feet: (Make 3)
Rnd 1: With Black, ch 2. Work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join. (6 sts)
Rnd 2: ch 1. Sc in each st around. Join. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Assembly:
Flip Pot over, and stitch feet to bottom, evenly spacing them apart at rnds 3-4. Weave in your ends, and your pot is ready to fill with small treats!
