Crochet Pattern
Materials Used:
Small amounts of Green and Red worsted weight yarn
Size F crochet hook
Gauge is not important to this project, so you can use any size hook or weight yarn you like!
Stitches Used/Abbreviations:
Ch-chain
Sc-single crochet
Hdc-half double crochet
Dc-double crochet
Sl st-slip stitch
Ball Stitch-to work a ball stitch~*yarn over, insert hook into indicated stitch, yarn over, and pull up a loop* 4 times. Yarn over, and pull through all loops on hook. Ch 1 to finish the stitch.
Instructions:
Leaves: (Make 2)
Ch 7. Hdc in 2nd ch from hook. Ch 1, sc in next ch. Ch 2, sl st in 2nd ch from hook. Dc in next ch on beginning ch. Ch 1, sc in next ch. Ch 2, sl st in 2nd ch from hook. Dc in next ch on beginning ch. Ch 1, *sc, ch 1, sc* all in last ch.
Working the opposite side of the beginning ch~ ch 1, dc in next st. Ch 2, sl st in 2nd ch from hook. Sc in next st, ch 1. Dc in next st, ch 2, sl st in 2nd ch from hook. Sc in next st. Sl st in next st. Ch 1, sc in end st. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Berries:
Lay one leaf on top of the other. Attach Red yarn through the ch 1 space on the rounded end of the 2 leaves. (See Fig. 1)
Ch 1, and work Ball stitch in that ch 1 space. (See Fig. 2)
Work a Ball Stitch in next st on either leaf. (See Fig. 3)
TURN, and work a Ball Stitch in the ch 1 space between the 2 previous berries. (See Fig. 4) Fasten off. Weave in ends.
