We are definitely having a fun and inspirational week at my house! My 10 year old and I decided to participate in the PlanetJune Halloween crochet-a-long on Ravelry, and here are our first two finished projects. I think she did a fantastic job on hers! (It's the one with the face) Now, she wants to make a whole pumpkin patch! LOL
I was able to get my new pattern done, by my self-imposed deadline! How impressive is that?
While I was on my Facebook page yesterday, I noticed a link to Treasure Boxes for Preschoolers, who are located in Virginia, and asking for donations of hats from the crafting community. They plan to do up complete Christmas-in-a-box for underpriveledged preschoolers in their area. What a nice idea! So, I am currently working on a few donation hats to send to them! It's my warm-fuzzy for the week! :)
But, that got me thinking...are any of the LOCAL charities in MY area in need of similar help? I am looking, and so far, have found nothing. So, next week I will try making a few phone calls...
