It is so soft, and nice to work with! I designed a new baby set with it~the Pocketful of Posies Set, which includes a dress, and sweet little sandals, but decided at the last minute, that it needed a little something else.
Materials Used:
Red Heart Anne Geddes Baby Yarn, in Posy, Rosy, and White
Size G/6 (4.25mm) crochet hook
1 small button
Stitches Used/Abbreviations:
Ch-chain
Sc-single crochet
Sl st-slip stitch
Magic Circle-Make a large loop by putting the yarn tail behind the working yarn (the yarn coming from the skein), leaving at least a six-inch tail until you become familiar with this method. With your hook, draw the working yarn through the loop, so you have one loop on the hook. Now, you can start working your stitches in the ring, just as you would with the chain method. You will pull the tail tight, once all stitches are worked in the ring, leaving a nice, tight closure.
Instructions:
Ch 41. Work 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Skip next ch. *Work 3 sc in next ch. Skip next ch*. Repeat (*) to last ch. Work {sl st, ch 3, sl st} all in last ch (creating buttonhole). Working the opposite side of the ch, work 3 sc in next st (Same st as previous 3 sc are worked). *Skip next st. Work 3 sc in next st*. Repeat (*) to opposite end. Join to 1st st. Fasten off. Weave in ends. Sew a button to end opposite of the buttonhole.
Posies: (Make desired number)
Make a Magic Circle. *Ch 3, sl st in ring*, 5 times. Fasten off. Draw ring tight. Use tails to attach to headband.
