Remember I said I came up with two chemo caps designs that I just loved? Well, this is the 2nd one!
I got an amazing shipment of yarn from Lion Brand Yarns just for this hat, and I couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out! This hat is also part of My Sweet Potato 3's Cancer Challenge 2015, so I hope you'll join us in the challenge... Follow me for my review of the Lion Brand Heartland Yarn, and the FREE pattern using it~ |
For this hat design, I was going for a rustic, woodsy look...kind of like pine trees covering a mountain top. I wanted something soft, warm, and appealing to the guys! Lion Brands Heartland yarn fits the bill perfectly!
It's a #4 worsted weight acrylic yarn, with a nice sheen to it. It's incredibly soft, and so easy to work with, and the colors are rich and vibrant. I chose three that compliment each other very well. This pattern can be worked with just one, or more colors, but I found three to be the "sweet spot" to show off the pattern the best, and give the look I was going for. |
