I've been wracking my brain, trying to settle on a perfect design for this amazing cotton yarn I received from them...I only knew I wanted to make Christmas ornaments with it~lol This Simple Circle Angel Ornament is just the first of my new collaboration, so follow me for the pattern~ |
So now...On to the pattern!
Simple Circle Angel Ornament
Crochet Pattern Materials Used: Hobbii Rainbow Cotton 8/8 yarn, in your choice of colors (Model created with White (1), Yellow (53), and Peach (65) Size G/6 (4.25mm) crochet hook Small amount of stuffing Yarn needle Size/Gauge: Gauge is not important to this project. Finished model measures approximately 2.75" tall x 2.75" across. Stitches Used/Abbreviations: ch-chain rnd-round sc-single crochet sc2tog-single crochet two stitches together hdc-half double crochet sl st-slip stitch |
Head: (Stuff as you go)
Rnd 1: With Peach, ch 2. Work 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join. (8 sts)
Rnd 2: ch 1. Work 2 sc in each st around. Join. (16 sts)
Rnds 3-5: ch 1. Sc in each st around. Join. (16 sts)
Rnd 6: ch 1. Sc2tog, 8 times. Join. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Body:
Rnd 1: With White, ch 4. Work 2 hdc in 2nd ch from hook. Hdc in next ch. Work 4 hdc in last ch. Working the opposite side of chain, hdc in next st. Work 2 hdc in last st. Join. (10 sts)
Rnd 2: ch 1, TURN. Work 2 hdc in each of the next 2 sts. Hdc in next st. Work 2 hdc in each of the next 4 sts. Hdc in next st. Work 2 hdc in each of the last 2 sts. Join. (18 sts)
Rnd 3: ch 1, TURN. Work 2 hdc in each of the next 3 sts. Sc in each of the next 3 sts. Work 2 hdc in each of the next 6 sts. Sc in each of the next 3 sts. Work 2 hdc in each of the last 3 sts. Join. (30 sts) (I fastened off the White here, and joined Yellow)
Rnd 4: ch 2, DO NOT TURN. Sl st in next st. *Ch 2. Sl st in next st*. Repeat (*) around. Join. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Halo:
With Yellow, ch 12. Join to 1st ch to form a ring. Fasten off.
Assembly:
Fold the Body in half, across the shorter side. Using a yarn needle, and the tail from the head, stitch head to center of body (rnd 1), through both layers. Stitch or glue halo to top of head.
To create a hanging loop, simply cut a length of yarn and thread it through the top of head. Tie in a knot. Your Angel is complete!
