I recently got back into making my homemade bath and body products again. I made some fantastic smelling shampoo bars, and realized, that in the moves this past year, I misplaced my soap saver bags! As I was dying to try out my new shampoo bars, I quickly whipped up this simple, but very effective bag!

Simply Ribbed Soap Saver Bag
Crochet Pattern Materials Used: Worsted weight yarn (Model created in Red Heart Super Saver Stripes~Fruity Stripe) Size H/8 (5.00mm) crochet hook Stitches Used/Abbreviations: ch-chain rnd-round sc-single crochet hdc-half double crochet Bphdc-back post half double crochet BLO-work in back loops only of indicated stitch(es) |
Instructions:
Rnd 1: ch 13. Work 2 hdc in 2nd ch from hook. Hdc in each of the next 10 chs. Work 4 hdc in last ch. Working the opposite side of ch, hdc in each of the next 10 sts. Work 2 hdc in last st. Join. (28 sts)
Rnd 2: ch 1. Bphdc in each st around. Join. (28 sts)
Rnds 3-19: ch 1, TURN. Sc in BLO of each st around. Join. (28 sts)
Rnd 20: ch 1, DO NOT TURN. Working in both loops again, *Sc in next st. Ch 1. Skip 1 st*. Repeat (*) around. Join. (14 sts+14 ch 1 spaces)
Rnd 21: ch 1, DO NOT TURN. Sc in each st and ch space around. Join. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Drawstring:
Ch 45. Fasten off. Weave chain through ch 1 spaces of rnd 20. Tie ends together.
