Pleated Face Mask with Pocket for Removable Filter~FREE Crochet Pattern

I hesitated publishing this pattern, because these are NOT medical grade face masks...They will NOT stop the coronavirus...But, if you want to protect yourself and others while on a quick run for necessities, or out walking with your family, they do offer some level of protection, while saving our limited supply for medical personnel :)
These masks have a pocket built-in on the back side, for you to use your own removable, disposable filters. Please be sure to throw the disposable filter away, upon your return home, and then just pop the mask into the washing machine!

I took one look at this little guy, and just fell in love! Isn't he adorable??
He's super easy to make, even those fiddly little arms and legs...and, my model measures in at just 3" tall (hat and all!), so he'd make a sweet keychain or zipper pull, backpack buddy, or just a friend!
